Classification societies
The Danish Maritime Authority has authorized a number of classification societies (or recognized organizations - ROs) to perform various approval and certification tasks on board Danish ships.
The Danish RO Agreement
The classification societies perform their work on behalf of the Danish Maritime Authority.
The most recent agreement between the Danish Maritime Authority and the ROs Annex to the Class Agreement of 4 May 2015 .
The Danish Maritime Authority has authorized the following classification societies (ROs):
American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
Bureau Veritas (BV)
Class NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai)
DNV GL
Lloyd's Register (LR)
Polish Register of Shipping (PRS)
RINA
Korean Register (KR)
China Classification Society (CCS)
Indian Register of Shipping (IRS)
